Rockers Black Stone Cherry bring their latest album and tour to Glasgow.
Check out this wicked triple bill of hard rock action with Theory of A Deadman, Airbourne and head liners Black Stone Cherry all at the SSE Hydro on Sunday 26 October 2014.
Tickets are now on sale for what promises to be a packed night at the venue.
Theory of a Deadman hail from Canada and are part of the Roadrunner stable of artists. They’ve scored a number of number one hits on the Rock charts with their tracks ‘Bad Girlfriend‘ and ‘Lowlife‘. First signing to fellow Canadian Chad Kroeger’s 604 Records imprint after meeting the Nickelback front man at a post concert party. They followed their self titled début album with Gasoline in 2005 and they’ve continue to grow since. They last had an album out in 2011, but the bands Twitter has said they are currently winding up the new release. Expect a whole slew of new tunes by the time this gig comes around.
Also joining them on this arena jaunt are Aussie rockers Airbourne. The no nonsense band first came out with Runnin Wild in 2007 but it was with 2010’s No Guts No Glory LP that they starting making a big noise over here. Playing at places like Brixton Academy and Download slots have made them many new fans over here. Third album Black Dog Barking came out in 2013, so it’s not sure if new material will be on offer. Who cares, these guys rock anyway!
Which leads us to the main event, Black Stone Cherry. They’ve got Magic Mountain, released in May 2014 and they’ll be plugging plenty from that album as well as stuff from their albums Black Stone Cherry, Folklore and Superstition and Between The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea releases. Steeped in a traditional sound, they expertly blend bluesy, ballsy, solid rock with elements of Southern Rock and classic hard riffing. A big sound which will go down well with their Scottish fan base.
