Two classic female fronted bands team up for this show as part of the Against All Odds Tour, Blondie and Garbage come to the SSE Hydro Glasgow on Saturday 20 November 2021, with tickets now on sale.
Blondie fronted by the enigmatic Debbie Harry were iconic in the post punk scene, crossing over with big pop hits like ‘Rapture‘, ‘Denis‘, ‘Heart of Glass‘ and ‘Hanging on the Telephone‘. After a number of years as a solo artist, Debbie and Blondie reformed in the 90s and scored further successes with cuts like ‘Maria; and they were a huge influence on many bands, including….Garbage.
Garbage where put together by producer Butch Vig and recruited the charismatic Shirley Manson as lead singer. Taking their cues from the worlds of synth rock, grunge and classic rock, Garbage released some classic tunes in the 90s like ‘Stupid Girl‘, ‘Queer‘, ‘I’m Only Happy When It Rains‘ and even the song from the Bond film ‘The World Is Not Enough‘.
