Boy George and the gang are getting together to record a new album, helmed by legendary producer Youth for release in 2015. Culture Club embark on a UK arena tour in December 2014 which sees them ably supported by the brilliant Alison Moyet.
Both acts have big reputations and cut some of the most iconic records in the 80s and beyond. Boy George really was a unique entertainer back then, with the massive hots like Karma Chameleon, Church of the Poison Mind, I’ll Tumble 4 Ya and their fantastic Do You Really Want To Hurt Me.
Alison Moyet cut her teeth in the innovative synth pop act Yazoo with Vince Clark (Depeche Mode, Erasure) before going on to release some golden solo albums. Yazoo’s ‘Upstairs at Eric’s’ set spawned the timeless ‘Don’t Go‘ and ‘Only You‘.
Now booking for the big show at Glasgow’s Big Venue the SSE Hydro on the 1st of December.
UPDATE – Following medical advice Boy George has been requested to stop singing and as a result the tour has been cancelled. All refunds can be acquired from point of sale, for example ticketmaster. Both Boy George and the group are disappointed to cancel and apologise to all fans who had bought tickets.
