Lead singer Justin Currie has been featured in the Daily Record recently commenting on why he’s got the band back together ahead of a show at The Hydro. Disbanding over 10 years ago Del Amitri are one of Scotland’s finest bands, with their blend of roots and rock tunes they scored some major hits like Roll To Me, Nothing Ever Happens and The Last To Know.
The band are embarking on a big UK tour, with the show in Glasgow on the 24th of January set to be a really doozy. They play shows in Dublin, Manchester, Leeds and London as well as many more places on the 13 date tour. Approached to play The Hammersmith Odeon earlier in the year started the ball rolling.
Justin commented that they’d be even dropping some tunes from the very first, self titled Del Amitri record from 1985. This is going to be a big show for their fans as well as the extras gained through Justin’s three solo albums.
