Metallica bring their hard rocking sound to the SSE Hydro Glasgow on their Worldwired tour.
Presenting their ‘Hardwired to Self Destruct’ album along with some classic back catalogue riffers, Metallica will be dominating the venue on Thursday 26 October 2017.
Formed in the early eighties, James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich and Kirk Hammett remain from the band’s original line up.
For nearly four decades Metallica have pushed the thrash and heavy metal envelope to extremes, cutting some of the most pivotal albums in the genres history. From early career triumphs like ‘Kill ‘Em All’ and ‘Master of Puppets’ to their classic ‘Black Album’ and sets like ‘Load’ and ‘Reload’.
Metallica continue to rock hard and through albums like ‘St Anger’ and ‘Death Magnetic’ where they were joined by bassist Robert Trujillo, propelling the band ever onward.
Support for this leg of the tour comes from Norway based outfit Kvelertak, whose third album Nattesferd was released to wide acclaim in 2016.
The band will be playing in a centre stage with standing ticket holders fully around them. Tickets will be limited per card and transaction and id may be required to gain admission. This is an attempt to limit tickets falling into the hands of touts for resale.
